The All-Party Parliamentary Human Rights Group (PHRG) was pleased to meet with officials from the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain.

During the meeting we discussed the Government’s reform programme and asked for further information about Bahrainis stripped of their nationality. In particular, we asked whether there is any possibility of challenging these decisions in the courts, and whether any such decision had been overturned by the Courts. We also raised a number of concerns.

The PHRG campaigns extensively on human rights issues in Bahrain and meets with both Government and opposition figures on a regular basis.
