The All-Party Parliamentary Human Rights Group (PHRG) organised this meeting to discuss human rights issues relating to the Middle East and North Africa with the FCO Minister.

The PHRG would like to thank Ann Clwyd MP for chairing this meeting.

Parliamentarians used this opportunity to raise their concerns in relation to the human rights situations in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Syria and Iraq. Matters were discussed in order to establish what actions have been taken by the FCO in response to human rights abuses in these countries.

The PHRG extends its thanks to the FCO Minister Mr Ellwood for his engagement in what was a detailed discussion.
